In the evening, you will meet your professional mountain guide for a detailed pre-climb briefing. During this session, you will review the itinerary, conduct a full gear check, and receive important safety and acclimatization guidance to ensure you are fully prepared for your trek on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Enjoy dinner and a restful overnight stay as you get ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 1: Arusha → Marangu Gate → Mandara Hut

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park, where registration formalities are completed before your trek begins. The trail leads you through a dense rainforest, rich in wildlife, where you may spot black-and-white colobus monkeys moving through the canopy.

After approximately 3–4 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Mandara Hut. Following a short rest, enjoy an optional walk to Maundi Crater, offering scenic views toward Kenya. Dinner and overnight will be at Mandara Hut.

Overnight: Mandara Hut
Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 2: Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut

After an early breakfast, you will depart Mandara Hut and continue your ascent on Mount Kilimanjaro. As you climb higher, you will leave the rainforest behind and enter the moorland zone, where vegetation transitions to shrubs and open landscapes.

After approximately 5–6 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Horombo Hut, where you can enjoy stunning views of Mawenzi Peak, Kibo Peak, and the vast Maasai steppe. Dinner and overnight will be at Horombo Hut.

Day 4: Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut

Today’s trek is challenging, covering the trail past the “last water point” and across the barren Saddle, the plateau connecting Kibo and Mawenzi Peaks. The landscape here is stark and almost plantless, highlighting the high-altitude environment of Mount Kilimanjaro.

After approximately 5–6 hours of trekking, you will reach Kibo Hut, your base for the summit push. Tonight, rest early to prepare for the final ascent, with a wake-up call scheduled around 11:00 pm for the climb to Uhuru Peak.

Overnight: Kibo Hut
Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 5: Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak → Horombo Hut

Today is the highlight of your Mount Kilimanjaro adventure. You will begin the climb in the middle of the night, walking on frozen volcanic ash for easier footing, and start the long trek toward the summit.

Passing Hans Meyer Cave (5,220 m), the ascent continues steadily until you reach Gilman’s Point (5,681 m) at sunrise on the crater rim. After another 1–2 hours, you will stand triumphantly at Uhuru Peak, the “Roof of Africa”.

The descent follows the same route. With thawed lava ash, it allows for a faster return to Kibo Hut for a warm meal and a short rest. Afterwards, continue descending to Horombo Hut, arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and an early night’s rest follow, completing an unforgettable summit day.

Overnight: Horombo Hut
Meals: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 6: Horombo Hut → Marangu Gate → Arusha
